Aquablation: Image-Guided, Robot-Assisted,

Water-Jet Ablation for BPH

 

     Featured Speaker:  Dean Elterman, MD, MSc, FRCSC

       Target Audience:  Practicing Urologists, Urology Residents, Urology Fellows, Office Staff

      

Attendees will learn about this novel technique which has recently received FDA approval utilizes a water based technology combined with transrectal ultrasound to eliminate obstructing prostatic tissue in a minimally invasive approach.  This technology is quite different from the tradition transurethral resection or laser technology currently utilized today.

 CME PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

1. Discuss the theory of aquablation for prostate enlargements

2. Assess when to use aquablation in clinical situations

3. Discuss the various surgical modalities for prostate surgery with patients
